Wrinkle treatment

In the course of life we get unpleasant wrinkles. Genetic predisposition, but also lifestyle with a lot of sun, UV rays, smoking, alcohol leave traces of skin aging on the face.

We distinguish static and dynamic folds.

Static folds arise due to gravity and the thinning tissue layer, especially in the midface. Examples of static wrinkles are the nasolabial fold and the marionette line.

Dynamic wrinkles arise due to the tension of the facial muscles. Here we can mention frown lines, wrinkles on the forehead, laugh lines on the eyes and wrinkles on the nose.

Botox does not treat the wrinkle, but the cause of a wrinkle development

In the case of wrinkles caused by strong muscle pull, the muscle must be weakened. The right dosage of Botox in the right place, leads to weakening of the muscle. The effect usually lasts from 3 to 6 months.

Static wrinkles can be filled and relined in combination with a filler. Hyaluronic acid or autologous fat is used for this purpose.

Botox is used for the treatment of frown lines, forehead wrinkles, and smile lines (for example, crow’s feet). You can refresh tired eyes by lifting the eyebrows.

For deep wrinkles, fillers such as hyaluronic acid are used. Hyaluronic acid can be used to inject the nasolabial fold, marionette lines and lip wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid can also be used to fill the volume of the lips, to correct the lip contour or to plump up cheeks (cheek, cheekbone augmentation). Hyaluronic acids of different consistencies are used here. Special applications include treatments for dark circles and hand rejuvenation. Hyaluronic acid is also used for deep wrinkles.

The questions and answers listed here are frequently requested examples and not a conclusive clarification. Your reading is not a substitute for an individual consultation. During this consultation, all relevant risks and possible side effects are explained in detail.

Wrinkle treatment is performed on the premises of the practice. You can go home afterwards.

Because of the good blood flow to the face, bruising and swelling are among the risks of the treatment. Blood thinning medications must be discontinued in sufficient time prior to treatment.

This depends on the material used and the quantity. The effect can last a whole year in the best case. However, there are also people who break down Botox very quickly.

Medications that have a blood-thinning effect must be discontinued before the procedure.

The cost depends on the material used and, of course, the amount of material sprayed. We advise you individually.
