Own fat - the natural filler
If you don’t want to have fillers like hyaluronic acid or skinbooster, there is a possibility to treat wrinkles and lack of volume in your face with your own fat.
Course of treatment
First, fat is suctioned from the “problem” areas, then processed and cleaned of cellular debris, fluid and loose fat. The vital fat cells are then applied with thin cannulas where they are needed. This requires some overcorrection, as not all fat cells will grow. If not enough fat cells have grown in, fat grafting can be performed again.
As an additional effect, the skin appears firmer and fresher.
Once the fat cells have grown, the result is permanent but subject to further aging.
The treatment is performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia / twilight sleep and takes about 1 hour. You should take it easy and recover for 1-2 weeks after the treatment.
Own fat, hyaluronic acid, Botox: In a personal consultation we will find the method of facial rejuvenation that is suitable for you.
Frequently asked questions
The questions and answers listed here are frequently requested examples and not a conclusive clarification. Your reading is not a substitute for an individual consultation. During this consultation, all relevant risks and possible side effects are explained in detail.
Small amounts of autologous fat can be removed under local anesthesia. For larger quantities, we recommend local anesthesia in combination with twilight sleep. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis.
You can actively support the healing process. This starts before the procedure with abstaining from nicotine, which should be continued after the procedure to avoid wound healing problems.
You should also avoid physical exertion and activities involving the head for six weeks after the procedure. The same applies to direct sunlight.
Light sports activities can be started after two weeks.
The result of autologous fat grafting is permanent after the fat cells have grown after 3-5 months.
However, in very rare cases, the fat deposit may completely dissolve within approximately 2 years.
Medications that have a blood-thinning effect must be discontinued before the procedure.
Since this is a substance produced naturally in the body, allergic reactions to it can be ruled out.
However, because of the good blood flow to the face, bruising and swelling are among the risks. However, swellings usually regress by the third day.
Blood thinning medications must be discontinued in sufficient time before the procedure.
Depending on the surgical effort and the chosen form of anesthesia, the cost of autologous fat treatment is about 1800 euros. Unfortunately, a blanket answer is not possible here.
However, you are welcome to schedule a personal consultation for more information.
