What if the breast hangs?
Natural aging process due to hormonal changes, the loss of volume after breastfeeding or due to weight loss causes the breasts to sag, which cannot be corrected by training and sports.
If the breast was previously too large, the breast lift can be combined with a reduction.
In the case of tissue slackening with volume, tightening together with correction of the nipple position is sufficient. If there is also a loss of volume, the volume can be compensated with the patient’s own fat or with an implant. The rule here is: less is more, because the sagging tissue must, after all, also hold the implant in place.
Breast lift/mastopexy is a complex and demanding operation. Sometimes the operation must also be combined with a breast reduction or with volume compensation using an implant or autologous fat.
